This microfiber material is impregnated with lacquer polish to effectively polish lacquered musical instruments while removing fingerprints and grime. At the same time it leaves a silicone coating on the instrument that repels dirt and contaminants.
Simply polishing the instrument with the cloth has the same effect as using a lacquer polish, removing dirt and leaving a coating that helps to keep the instrument clean.
For stubborn grime that is difficult to remove with the cloth alone, adding a small amount of lacquer polish will usually produce the desired results.
