Welcome To Music Elements! We are everyday 10am - 6pm!
Griego large bore tenor mouthpieces work exceptionally well in orchestral and wind band settings. They provide a distinct and rich large bore sound that will complement the other brasses.
Model | Features |
Model 6.5
Model 6.5 utilizes the NY bach style rim with a vintage NY shaped bowl. Great for baroque music or when ease in the upper register is a must.
Model 5M |
Model 5M has a 5G rim with a cup that is in between a 5 and a 6.5. Perfect for the high player that needs a little more embouchure room but wants the shallower cup.
Model 5 |
Model 5 has a more rounded rim on a slightly deeper bowl than a standard 5G. Consistent throughout all registers with lots of middle register overtones. This mouthpiece was designed with the principal trombonist in mind.
Model 4.5 |
The 4.5 mouthpiece has a slightly flatter rim than the model 5. The cup diameter is a slightly bigger than the model 5. This wider cup diameter can help players that need more room within the cup to place their embouchure. This mouthpiece is a free blowing mouthpiece, and is great for playing second in the symphony (or principal if playing with a large orchestra).
Model 4M |
The Griego 4M (sometimes called the 4GM) is great for the tenor trombonist that wants the room of a larger mouthpiece without a huge cup volume. The 4M offers the same cup diameter as the Griego 4, but with less cup volume. A full natural sound is achieved in all registers with the balance found in the Griego Mouthpiece design.
Model 4 |
Very free blowing. Rich, full sound is great for second trombone playing.
Model 3.5 |
The Griego 3.5 is great for the tenor trombonist that wants the room of a larger mouthpiece without a huge cup depth. As Griego large bore tenor mouthpieces increase in cup diameter, cup depths are adjusted so as to not become too deep. The combination of wide and deep can cause the player to increase pressure on the rim and tighten the aperture. This can lead to a strained sound in the middle and upper registers. A full natural sound is achieved in all registers with the balance found in the Griego Mouthpiece design.
Model 3M |
The Griego 3M (sometimes called the 3GM) is great for the tenor trombonist that wants the room of a larger mouthpiece without a huge cup volume. The 3M offers the same cup diameter as the Griego 3, but with less cup volume. A full natural sound is achieved in all registers with the balance found in the Griego Mouthpiece design.
Model 3 |
The Griego 3 is great for the tenor trombonist that wants the room of a larger mouthpiece without a huge cup depth.
