The Mark Ford Legato series IP802 medium soft yarn marimba mallets are constructed of quality materials suited exclusively for producing warm legato tones at all volume levels. The IP802 has a rubber core wrapped by softer than normal yarn to minimize sound usually heard from the contact of the mallet to the instrument. Unfinished birch handles have a texture that is ideal for situations in which extra grip is needed. The Mark Ford Legato series has a much more soft and supple sound when compared to the Mark Ford Strong Legato series.
